Community Care Briefings
Do you know what statutory authorities in North Yorkshire are planning
and doing about community care, health and related issues? Are you aware
of the current local issues in services for children and families, older
people, people with physical disabilities, people with sensory impairments,
people with learning disabilities, people with mental health needs, and
carers?
Community Care Briefings is a service provided by the Forum free to local
voluntary and community organisations only.
Many Briefings are a summary of the issues to be considered at meetings
of the key statutory agencies in North Yorkshire responsible for planning
and delivering community care, health and related services. These Briefings
are normally circulated a day or two before the relevant meeting and include
details of the voluntary and community sector representatives at the meeting,
whom you can contact for further information or to ensure that they are
aware of your organisation's views.
Other Briefings contain summaries of Department of Health White Papers
and similar documents within a few days of their publication by the Government.
