Working with Children and Young People
Within North Yorkshire a dynamic and vibrant voluntary and community sector provides a vast range of services and opportunities for working with Children and Young People. Supporting this work within the voluntary sector is CYPexchange and the VOX Networks.
Our aim is to give all VCS groups in North Yorkshire working with children and young people the opportunity to network, share information, access support, engage with policy makers and influence wider discussion and decision-making.
As part of our ongoing commitment to the VCS Organisations we will:
• co-ordinate and facilitate the Children and Young Peoples VOX networks (0-5, 5-11 & 11+)
• provide support to VCS representatives selected from the 3 networks as members of the Children and Young Peoples Strategic Partnership Board (CYPSBP)
• support the implementation of the Children’s Workforce Development strategy, ensuring that the VCS organisations are able to access opportunities for training and development of their staff and volunteers.
