VOX - The Voluntary youth Organisations eXchange
The VOX network resulted from the merger of two structures that existed to represent those working with voluntary youth groups in York and North Yorkshire - The "Connexions York & North Yorkshire Voluntary and Community Sector Network" and NYFVO's "Youth Organisations Advisory Group".
VOX aims to bring voluntary youth organisations together to provide a stronger voice and resource of knowledge and experience in representing the voluntary youth sector in York and North Yorkshire.
VOX was officially launched at its first conference in York in January 2004. Delegates felt the best way for VOX to develop would be for the establishment of local groups, plus regular communication through newseltters, email bulletins and a webpage. The VOX Conference is now also an annual event.
